Inside the DRVN Method™ Master Course: Module-by-Module Breakdown
A complete walkthrough of what's inside The DRVN Method™ Master Course — 10 modules, 70+ lessons, proprietary assessments, biomechanics training, and business development for fitness trainers and golf professionals.

The DRVN Method™ Master Course is a complete professional operating system for coaches who work with golfers — 10 modules, 70+ lessons, and a structured path from assessment through programming to business development. This post walks through exactly what's inside, module by module, and who each section is built for.

Two Practitioner Paths. One System.
The course serves two primary audiences. They arrive with different strengths and face different gaps — but both work within the same DRVN framework and standards.
For Fitness Trainers
Most fitness professionals already understand movement, loading, progression, and adaptation. What they often lack is a clear, defensible bridge between those skills and actual golf performance — a framework for how changes in strength, mobility, or sequencing show up in club delivery, ball flight, and consistency.
What you already bring:
- Strong understanding of strength and conditioning principles
- Experience programming across diverse bodies and fitness levels
- Familiarity with assessment, progression, and load management
- Comfort working with physical limitations and adaptations
What DRVN adds:
- A golf-specific lens to apply your existing skills through
- Proprietary mobility assessments designed specifically for the golf swing
- The DRVN Golf Fitness Handicap™ — a scoring system golfers immediately understand
- Biomechanics training that connects physical capacity to club delivery and ball flight
- Business strategy to position yourself in the golf performance market
For Golf Professionals and PGA Members
You already understand the swing, the course, and the mental game. (See why PGA Professionals are pursuing DRVN certification.) What's often missing is a structured, evidence-based framework for integrating physical preparation into your coaching — one that doesn't require you to become a personal trainer, but gives you the tools to screen, assess, and programme in a way that supports what you're already teaching.
What DRVN adds:
- A 5-movement mobility assessment you can run in any facility
- Fitness testing protocols across Strength, Power, Athleticism, Endurance, and Club Head Speed
- A 3-level training framework — Health & Wellness → Fitness → Performance
- Applied biomechanics that connect physical capacity to each phase of the swing
- Business development training to monetise a new, defensible revenue stream
The 10 Modules
Every module builds on the last — moving from philosophy and science through to application and business.
Module 1: What It Means to Be DRVN
The mission, philosophy, and professional standards behind the DRVN brand. The business opportunity in golf fitness, who the course is designed for, and an introduction to the coaching team that built the system from real-world application. Includes the foundational "This Is DRVN" PDF and the DRVN Pathways guide.
Module 2: Movement Foundations of Golf
How a client moves is the first and most important input in the coaching process — before mechanics, before strength, before speed. This module covers three progressive movement stages (Recovery → Flexibility → Mobility), how golf happens at the intersection of body, club, and ball, and the five phases of the golf swing, impact factors, club motion, ball flight physics, and launch monitor data.
Module 3: Methods, Assessments, Testing and the Golf Fitness Handicap™
The proprietary DRVN Methodology — a sustainable system built on consistency over intensity. Covers the three training levels, Mobility Assessment 101, Fitness Testing 101, and the DRVN Golf Fitness Handicap™: a structured scoring system that converts a golfer's physical readiness into a number they already understand. It answers the question every coach wrestles with: Is the body actually capable of doing what the swing is asking it to do — right now?
Module 4: Mobility Assessment
A deep dive into five golf-relevant mobility assessments — each with video demonstration, scoring protocols, and physiotherapist recommendations. The five assessments: Body Weight Squat (posture), Windmill Rotation (thoracic rotation), Split Stance Rotation (separation), Glute Bridge (impact), and Single Leg Hold (balance). Culminates in a live assessment demonstration with DRVN athlete George Bryan.
Module 5: Fitness Testing
Five standardised tests mapped directly to golf performance: Strength (Deadlift), Power (Bench Press), Athleticism (Broad Jump), Endurance (1-mile run or 2.5-mile bike), and Speed (Club Head Speed). Each includes protocols, benchmarks, and interpretation frameworks that feed directly into the Golf Fitness Handicap™ score.
Module 6: How to Train a Golfer
The practical core of the course. Train golfers across all three progressive levels: Level 1 (Health & Wellness) builds foundational capacity and injury resilience. Level 2 (Fitness) develops strength, power, and applied biomechanics. Level 3 (Performance) adds intent, timing, and specificity. Also covers sequencing and programming adaptations for seniors, juniors, and golfers returning from injury.
Module 7: Applied Training of Golf Swing Biomechanics
Where physical progressions meet real swing demands — translating capacity to motion across every phase (Posture, Backswing, Downswing, Impact, Balance) through paired Discussion and Application lessons. Download the free Golf Swing Biomechanics ebook for a preview of the biomechanics framework covered in this module. Developed from Martin Borgmeier's work in speed and long-drive biomechanics alongside Michael Dennington's applied training systems.
Module 8: Golf Swing Fundamentals, Skill and Practice
Deeper technical biomechanics, power and efficiency development, common movement faults, and speed training specifics. Includes a step-by-step framework for building optimal swing biomechanics — the wide backswing, the natural transition, applying force with balance — plus a full treatment of practice methodology and the psychology of sustainable improvement.
Module 9: Building and Growing Your Coaching Business
DRVN doesn't just teach you how to train golfers — it teaches you how to build a business around it. Guest experts: Martin Borgmeier on growing an audience, Hewitt Tomlin on branding and growth, Kevin Abel on purpose and values, and George Bryan on authentic storytelling. Actionable strategies for positioning, client acquisition, and building a practice that compounds.
Built by Coaches Who've Lived the Entire Performance Lifecycle
DRVN wasn't built around a single discipline or coaching archetype. It was built by people who have lived across the entire arc of modern golf performance — coaching golfers, training bodies, rehabbing injuries, competing at the highest levels, and building systems that hold up under real-world use.
The team covers five capabilities that rarely exist in the same room: preparing the body for the golf swing, expressing speed and power through biomechanics, managing risk and recovery, sustaining progress over time, and scaling systems without losing integrity.
33 professionals are already training with DRVN. The system works because it was tested against the hardest standard: real golfers, real coaches, real results.
